Charity and Community Involvement
Community involvement and charitable giving have long been an important part of our ethos here at The Wellington.

Local Schools:
Our passion for collecting artefacts and memorabilia related to The Wellington Bomber and World War Two history has enabled us to share our knowledge and our collection with many interested parties. This includes out of hours visits for local school children and opportunities for those interested in history to come and share some of our treasures.

Charitable Events:
During our events calendar we are lucky enough to have very generous customers who buy raffle tickets and donate money to support a wide variety of Charities.
Alongside this we have also hosted Auctions, Beer Runs, Casino Nights, Head Shaves & Haircuts to name but a few.
This has resulted in over £50,000 being raised for over 70 different charities since opening in 2014.

Sponsorship:
As part of our community support we have been involved in sponsoring many local sporting teams and organisations. This includes sponsoring kit for Brandon Lads Football Team, Kit for Feltwell Bowls Club, Hockwold Village Cricket Pitch and Feltwell Golf Club Tee Sponsorship.
In addition to sponsorship we have also donated vouchers and raffle prizes for local Youth Groups, Schools, village fetes, events and Community Groups.

Rural Loneliness:
As part of our involvement in the Meet Up Mondays initiative, we offer a weekly free event where villagers can come somewhere warm and safe to meet up for free, enjoy some company along with tea coffee and biscuits.
Warm Bank:
We are also proud to be a Community Warm Bank where people are able to sit for free and benefit from a warm and dry space during the winter months.
